Process optimization improves quality and production capacity to save costs for customers

Our company produced eye detection instrument parts for Tomei Corporation & Tomei Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. The mold was transferred to our company. In the early stage of production, the mold had poor mass producibility, resulting in unstable product quality and a high defective rate. The customer was asked to re-open the mold. As there were many molds and a large amount of money involved, the customer wanted to improve the product quality through transformation. Based on the principle of customer wishes first, our technical department discussed and studied and formulated an optimized transformation plan. After obtaining customer approval, the existing mold was transformed. After the transformation, the defective rate was reduced from 8% before the transformation to 0.5%, which was praised and recognized by the customer.
